WordPress Multisite
A WordPress Multisite is a feature in WordPress that allows you to manage multiple websites from a single WordPress installation. Multisite lets you create a network of sites that share the same WordPress core, themes, and plugins, but have separate content and users.
Key Features:
- Central administration: Managed via a single WordPress dashboard.
- Shared resources: Themes and plugins can be enabled for the entire network or individual sites.
- Separate sites: Each site has its own database structure (table-prefix) and can have different administrators.
- Domain Management: Sites can have their own domains, subdomains (site1.exampel.com) or subdirectories (example.com/site1).
Multisite is especially useful for businesses, organizations, or multi-site networks that need unified management and shared resources.
WordPress Multisite requires an Enterprise support agreement. Read more about our support agreement here. If you have an Enterprise support agreement, the main company is on the account, although you may be managing a different site on the network.
